Every September, we take part in the international Say HI for Peace initiative, which is led by Hostelling International and brings together hostels, travellers, volunteers, and national organisations from around the world to promote a culture of peace, friendship and mutual understanding.
At Hostelling International Slovenia, we’ve decided to use the campaign to support a good cause.
All the money raised through HI membership card sales in September goes towards the Children’s Joy at Sea charity campaign. The money helps give children with fewer opportunities the chance to enjoy a seaside holiday, with carefree days, games, new friendships and experiences they’ll remember for years to come.
We believe that peace isn’t built through words alone. It’s also built through small acts, bringing people together, embracing our differences and making sure everyone gets the same opportunities.
That’s why an HI membership card bought in September won’t just get you the membership. As well as all the benefits of being part of the international HI network, your purchase also directly supports our charity campaign.
