Don’t forget that Malta has plenty of museums and sites to be discovered. St John’s Co-Cathedral is a gem of Baroque art and architecture and one of the finest cathedrals in all Europe. Among the treasures found in the Cathedral are the unique Caravaggio painting depicting the beheading of St John, the extraordinary paving of more than 300 marble tombs and the splendid vaulted central nave with frescoes of Mattia Preti.
