Hostel Črnomelj is located to the southeast of Slovenia on the border with Croatia and is set as part of a high school dorm. This insures many common facilities with all the equipment. It also features its own kitchen, where they can arrange meals for you. Next is the hostel Radenci, located in a quiet town with a spa to the north east of Slovenia. It’s also located in a high school dormitory, again offering many facilities and common rooms and a kitchen, where they can prepare all daily meals. The next suggestion we’re making this month is the hostel Velenje, located in a youth centre established a few years ago. It’s a modern and technically efficient hostel, with a lot of experience in hosting groups. If you want to feel like at home, you should definitely visit the hostel Pod Skalo in the colourful town of Kamnik, close to the national capital Ljubljana. The hostel is suitable for smaller groups and offers superb accommodation in a friendly atmosphere. Next we present a newcomer to the HI Slovenia family, it is the Youth Hostel Barovc in Kranjska Gora, offering you peace and quiet in a natural environment with many winter activities nearby. Kranjska Gora is a ski resort that annually hosts Alpine skiing world cup competitions. And last but not least is the Youth Hostel Podčetrtek, just perfect for smaller groups, who might just be lucky enough to have the whole hostel for themselves. Apart from large common rooms the hostel is famous for its great cuisine. The town of Podčetrtek is also famous for its Spa and the hostel is just a few hundred feet away from the border with Croatia. Welcome to Slovenia. 

Hostel Podčetrtek (Pension Ciril) is located in a quiet place opposite the thermal park. A bus stop is only 20 meters away and the train station just 100 meters away. The hostel can offer a stay for up to 25 people in rooms ranging from two and up to four beds. There are shared bathrooms for two or three bedrooms with a TV. There are rooms with a double bed and rooms with twin beds. Our hostel has several offers, from simple bed and breakfast, to half board, to full board, which includes three meals a day.

Hostel Barovc Kranjska Gora is located in a truly enviable location above the lakes Jasna on the outskirts of the Triglav National Park under beautiful Julian Alps. On the other hand it is only 10 minutes walk from the center of Kranjska Gora. Hostel offers free WiFi throughout the facility, internet and info point, a covered terrace, indoor entertainment area with board games, a children’s playground, restaurant, which offers a rich breakfast and tasty local dishes at affordable prices, bar with terrace and splendid views. Hostel is suitable for groups up to 31 persons.

The Hostel Pod Skalo is a family run business that can host up to 21 people. It is set in a town-house, which has the tradition of hosting people and offering them overnight stays since the 18th century. There are 10 rooms available, each with a separate bathroom. Guests can choose between rooms with a large double bed (there are 6 such rooms), with separate two beds (there are 3 such rooms) or a room with three beds. All rooms feature a free wireless internet connection. The Hostel also features a joint room, internet corner, kitchenette and both a washing and drying machine for laundry.

The Hostel Velenje, just 500m from the centre of Velenje and the main bus station, opened its doors in September 2010. The hostel can host up to 58 people in various types of rooms (with a range of 2 and up to 6 beds). A part of the hostel is also adapted to the needs of people with handicaps. Guests can enjoy the common room next to the reception, which has a TV and will let you meet other guests, to share experience about your travels and so on. Guests can also use the common kitchen and a large dining room.

There are 60 rooms in the hostel Radenci. Most of them are double rooms, some of them are triple rooms. There are collective bathrooms for 4 or 6 rooms. The guests can use: fitness, outdoor playground, multimedia classrooms for big or small groups and a multipurpose hall with the stage for cultural events, seminars, special meals and other meetings. We can organize a rent of the sport hall for recreation (near school), organize rafting on Mura river, swimming in the Health Resort Radenci. Besides the nice rooms the guests can have the breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner. We can also accept and accommodate big groups (100 people).

Hostel Črnomelj is situated in the centre of the old town, near the bus and railway station. Hostel has 30 beds all year, during weekends and school holidays up to 70 beds. The kitchen is working if there is a group of 10 guests, during school offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can use bicycle storage, and rent multimedia room for 35 people, dining room for 50 people and  a dance room. Rooms have 3, 4, or 6 beds. Rooms have modern furniture and all the floors are air conditioned. There are also 3 apartments with a bathroom, kitchen and air conditioning. Guests can also rent a kitchen in the first and second floor.
