Family holidays at lake Wolfgangsee

Content
Spend your family holidays at one of the most beautiful spots in the Salzkammergut region: at lake Wolfgangsee. The romantic village of St. Gilgen and its nice youth hostel are ideal for a varied program.

In the museum of international instruments you get to know instruments that you have never seen or heard of before.

One thing that you should not miss is a boat trip to the picturesque villages St. Wolfgang and Strobl. Both places are famous for their unique buildings and beautiful esplanades.

If you want to go hiking, take the cable car to the mountain of Zwölferhorn. It is 1522 meters high and offers an impressive panorama and beautiful trails in an alpine landscape.

A very interesting trip takes you to the salt mine of Hallein. The long in-ground galleries lead from Austria to Germany. Afterwards you could also visit the village of Celts and its museum nearby.

Another part of the package is a degustation of Austrian Speck and Schnaps (bacon and liquor). Children are invited to taste some sweets.
