This summer in Maribor is going to be interesting, diverse and hot. There are quite a few excellent events, some are even being held for the first time.

Picnic in the city park
Picnic in the city is a great way of spending a summer afternoon. On 28th of May you can have a picnic in Maribor’s city park. It may sound a bit Robinson-esque but it will be a very special experience. Everything you need is a blanker, a great company of friends and together we hope that the weather will be nice also. For a basket full of goodies will be taken care of by the organizers. You will be able to buy a basket, which will have everything to make a tasty picnic.

Nearby Maribor is the first Wake park
In Spodnji Duplek, only a few kilometres outside of Maribor, we will try wakeboarding. First Slovenian wake park is opening in May. There will be a 700 metre long wake lift in an old gravel pit, which will be visited by locals and tourists who will want to try wakeboarding. The south part of the lake will be dedicated to swimmers. The lake nearby Maribor will be a real sensation for fans of this popular sport, as well as for people who want to relax, jump in the lake and sunbathe.

River Drava will come to life between 12th May and 16th July. Part of the Drava’s embankment by Kolosej will change into a hot spot for hipsters, dancers and people who want to enjoy themselves outside between 9th and 11th June. City Beach Festival is coming. The big dining room with kitchen enables us to meet new people and friends. If we choose to use the stairs instead of an elevator, we will also be charmed by the cute bookcases.
