New Hostel in Madrid

Content
The Spanish Youth Hostel Association (REAJ) has a new Hostel in the heart of Madrid. Discover the capital of Spain with The Hat Hostel!

The Hat is the first Boutique Hostel in Madrid. Fit for royalty, they’re located in the touristic heart of the city, Plaza Major, just 3 minute walk from Puerta del Sol, Gran Via and La Latina – a prime spot for seeing the city on foot with no rush, for daytime explorers and night owls.

They have private and shared rooms for females only, families and groups. All the rooms are well-lit, air-conditioned, and most have private bathrooms, a balcony and super-fast WIFI. They know how important breakfast is for travellers, so it’s included! And to top it off, the hostel is environmentally friendly; the first hotel in town using biomass energy.

The palace itself is a Madrid attraction – with big common areas such as a lobby, a special cave and one of the best roof top bars in the city. During the day you can even sunbathe on the terrace. The hostel is open 24 hours and offers an exciting range of tours, bike rentals and ambassadors to make the most of local nightlife.

The Hat’s goal is that travellers and locals get together in all the Hat’s activities. Cultural, music and artistic events where travellers can get to know the real Madrid.

If you travel to Madrid, don’t forget to bring your HI Membership Card. With it you’ll enjoy discounts in several companies such as Alsa (the main Spanish bus company), Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum of Madrid, Madrid City Tour (Touristic buses), Hard Rock Cafe Madrid,  Taco Bell, Museo de Cera de Madrid or Kinepolis Cinema.

Thanks to this new incorporation, the Spanish Youth Hostels Association (REAJ) keeps growing day by day, offering to their users more than 260 hostels that are spread over all Spanish regions, covering the main tourist places and permitting the practice of cultural, adventure, sportive and environmental activities.

Say HI to the world and say HI to Spain!
